Protection Ratings
Please view the protection ratings for IP1052NS Gloves to see just what they do to protect your hands whilst you work:
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used whilst working in and around mechanical machinery by measuring abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance. The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | N/A |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 2 |
ISO Cut Resistance | Level D |
Impact Resistance | Level P |
What Is Thermoplastic Rubber and What Does It Do?
Thermoplastic Rubber or TPR is an incredibly durable rubber formation that is capable of recovering from large deformations quickly and forcibly. What does this mean for a pair of gloves?
Well, once something makes contact with your hand, the TPR in the back of the glove works to absorb the shock of the impact, moving with the object in question to diminish the downward force and protect the hand from damage.
Benefits of a Full Coating
A full coating refers to the fact that a glove is coated entirely, instead of just at the knuckle or the palm. These MCR Gloves have a TPR backing and a sandy nitrile coating that protects the entire hand, leaving nothing open. This is especially valuable if you work with tools and machinery that could potentially fall or drop onto the back of your hand.

Benefits of Sandy Nitrile as a Coating
Sandy Nitrile refers to a standard nitrile coating that has had a small amount of sand added to it during the production process. Sandy Nitrile both enhances grip strength and means the glove excels in oily and wet conditions, as nitrile is excellent at absorbing grease, oil and other slick, harmful substances.
Reinforced Thumb Crotch
A reinforced thumb crotch is valuable if you're lifting, carrying or operating moving machinery regularly. The thumb crotch is an area prone to splitting, tearing and ripping due to the natural patterns our hands make when moving. Reinforcement means additional stretch-fabric layers are used to reduce stress and strain in the area, preventing damage to your hands and the glove.
What Colour are IP1052NS Gloves?
These MCR Safety Gloves are orange, adding an additional element of visibility when working in dark or dimly lit conditions. They have an all black sandy nitrile palm and a grey knitted wrist cuff that prevents dirt and debris entering the glove.
Lightweight and Flexible Design
Flexibility is vital in a glove. If your hand is heavy, you will soon feel stress, strain and fatigue in the hand, wrist or both. Despite their incredible protection, IP1052NS Gloves remain lightweight, allowing a tight grip to form and promoting the natural movement of the fingers and palm.
