Which Size Is Right for Me?
Unfortunately, an ill-fitting safety glove is not a proper safety glove. The safety promised can only be guaranteed if slippage and baggy material aren't a concern. To find the perfect size for your hand, please see the information below:
First, measure the length of your palm and the circumference of your hand using the method demonstrated in the image below. Once you have these measurements, please consult the sizing guide beneath to match them with the correct size for your hand.
Size | Circumference of Palm (mm) | Length of Hand (mm) |
Small | 178mm | 171mm |
Medium | 203mm | 182mm |
Large | 229mm | 192mm |
Extra Large | 254mm | 204mm |
XX-Large | 279mm | 215mm |

Protection Ratings
Gloves offering protection of any sort must be tested to ensure these claims are factual. Please view the information below to see just what Ergodyne 7551 Gloves do throughout the day to keep your hands safe:
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves performance when used whilst working in and around mechanical machinery by measuring abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | N/A |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 3 |
ISO Cut Resistance | Level E |

Incredible Cut Resistance
All heavy-duty applications encounter sharp, abrasive and jagged material at some point or another. Ergodyne Proflex 7551 Gloves remain lightweight enough to allow for maximum dexterity and handling precision whilst holding the second highest cut resistance rating available.
Level E means it takes a sharp implement upwards of a massive 30 newtons of downward force to cause damage to the fabric.
Suitable Environments for Application
We recommend that a waterproof and insulated glove like the Proflex 7551 be used in winter, cold weather and wet applications. Please see below for a few of these:
Proflex 7551 Gloves perfectly balance lightweight dexterity and workplace protection
100% Waterproof
Even contact with damp or cold material can transfer liquid onto your hand. After a while, this small amount of moisture will seep through the fabric of a standard glove, making your hands wet and cold. Ergodyne Proflex Winter Gloves are 100% waterproof thanks to a latex membrane layer. This prevents any moisture making its way from outside the glove onto your hand.
Sandy Nitrile Coating
Sandy nitrile is usually used as a palm only coating. It refers to a nitrile formula that has had a tiny amount of sand added to it during the production process. This grit element improves grip strength and stability when carrying, lifting whilst also aiding with the trapping of oils, grease and other slick liquids.
What Are the Benefits of a Palm Only Coating?
A palm only coating allows the back of a glove to breathe. Full coatings trap odour and can become sweaty because they do not allow for a natural flow of air.
A palm only coating keeps the vulnerable palm area protected whilst remaining light and breathable in the face of heavy perspiration and odour. If you like a lighter, inobtrusive style, a palm only coating is ideal.
Lightweight Yet Durable Design
13 gauge gloves traditionally have lower resistance due to their closer, thinner feel. Not Proflex 7551 Gloves. This truly all-round winter glove remains lightweight and sleek whilst maintaining their incredible cut resistance, waterproofing and insulation properties.
