Unigloves GM005 Blue Nitrile Accelerator-Free Gloves
If you work in a hospital or healthcare environment, you know the importance of minimising patient risk. Unigloves GM005 Blue Nitrile Accelerator-Free Gloves are accelerator, latex, sulphur and zinc-free, making them the ideal choice for use when treating patients who are a cross-contamination risk.
What's Included?
These gloves are sold in a box containing 100 gloves. Due to their ambidextrous design, GM005 Gloves do not need pairing, saving valuable time and removing hassle.
Which Size is Right For Me?
Nitrile disposable gloves fit neatly to the shape of your hand. Because of this, it's vital you choose the perfect size for you. Luckily, that couldn't be easier. Simply measure the length and width of your hand as demonstrated in the image below.
When you have your measurement, please consult the sizing chart below to find the right size for you. If your size falls on a sizing boundary, we recommend you take the size below if you prefer a skin tight fit. If you are looking for a slightly looser fitting glove, we recommend you take the size up.
Size | Width of Palm (mm) | Length of Hand (mm) |
Small | 80mm (±10mm) | Minimum 240mm |
Medium | 95mm (±10mm) | Minimum 240mm |
Large | 110mm (±10mm) | Minimum 240mm |
Extra Large | ≥110mm | Minimum 240mm |
Levels of Protection
Gloves used for safety and protection must pass a stringent set of tests in order to be sold as such in Europe. Please view the information below for a brief description of each test and to see how Uniglove GM005 Gloves performed:
- EN 1186 (These gloves are suitable for use with food)
- EN 374 (1), (2), (3) (These gloves are suitable for use with a wide range of chemicals)
- EN 455-(1), (2), (3) and (4) (These gloves are certified as non sterile single-use medical gloves)
What Does Accelerator Free Mean?
Accelerators are chemicals used in gloves to make them more durable and elastic. They are commonly used in vinyl, latex, nitrile and rubber gloves. They become an issue when the person using them has either sensitive skin or an allergy to any of the chemicals typically used in the manufacturing process. Accelerator free gloves retain all the benefits of a traditional disposable, just without the chemicals.
What Are the Benefits of Nitrile?
When your profession involves examining or working on or with patients, the last thing you need is your gloves giving up on you. Gloves made from a high-quality nitrile mean no more tearing or ripping. Nitrile is a thicker, more durable material that does not tear as easily as latex and provides additional resistance against chemicals and liquids. Nitrile is also powder free, reducing the risk of allergens and germs spreading from your implements or those you come into contact with. Nitrile also conforms better to the shape of your hand, leaving less airy, empty space than a latex counterpart.
What Colour Are These Gloves?
Unigloves GM005 are blue. This makes them ideal for healthcare environments as they stay in keeping with the traditionally blue sanitary gloves used in the UK.
Who Should Be Using These Gloves?
Whilst the Unigloves GM005 are ideal for healthcare scenarios involving patients with allergies and related healthcare issues, they are also a regulation certified, high-quality safety glove with a wide scope for professional use. See below for a list of environments and professions:
