Protection Ratings
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves performance when used whilst working in and around mechanical machinery by measuring abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
Standard | Resistance Level |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | N/A |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 4 |
EN ISO Cut Resistance | Level F |

Incredible Cut Resistance
UCi K9C Kutlass Leather Gloves have been certified with the highest cut resistance rating possible. This means they can withstand an incredible 30 newtons of downward force before showing signs of wear. This means they protect your hands from the majority of force generated by a cut that would otherwise result in a slice, gash or cut.
Heat Protection Properties
Level 1 Contact Heat resistance means you are able to handle hot material of a temperature up to 100°C consistently for up to 15 seconds whilst wearing K9C Gloves. This is ideal for professionals like welders, machinists and mechanics.
