Who Can Use the ROSTAING Cryogenic Gloves?
The Cryogenic Waterproof Gloves are designed for extreme cold. Recommended areas of use include:
- Liquid nitrogen atmospheres
- Liquid oxygen atmospheres
- Liquid helium atmospheres
- Dry ice
- Blast freezers
- Walk-in freezers
- Cold rooms
- Handling supercooled materials
Please Note: That these gloves are designed for handling extremely cold materials. We wouldn't recommend them for simple, cold outdoor work. However, if your work means that you have to handle items that are far below freezing, then these gloves are ideal.
What Temperatures Can These Freezer Gloves Protect Against?
These gloves are designed for people who work with materials that are below freezing. This can include cryogenics, dry ice handling, bottle handling and scientific work. They are most suitable when handling solid materials that are typically between -125°C and -150°C.
Protection Against Splashes of Liquid Nitrogen
One of the main uses of the cryogenic gloves is to protect against spills and splashes of cryogenic materials, including liquid nitrogen. This can occur when pouring, or just generally working with, ultra-cold cryogenic materials. Please note that these gloves are not suitable for immersion in liquid nitrogen.
How Waterproof Are the ROSTAING Liquid Nitrogen Gloves?
The ROSTAING Gloves have a water-resistant palm and back made of high quality cow leather, and a thick Porelle® waterproof membrane. This is particularly ideal for cryogenics and liquid nitrogen handling, as you will be expected to come into contact with extremely cold substances that may be in liquid form.
How Comfortable Are These Sub Zero Gloves?
Working in extremely low temperatures, you'll want to be sure you're hands are not only protected from injury but are also comfortable to be able to undertake the work effectively. Lined with a wool/cotton fleece and ISO AIR felt, these cryogenic gloves provide maximum comfort and warmth for cryogenic handling.
